Stonegate’s sprawling 43-acre campus in rural Connecticut includes private and semi-private rooms, an on-campus private school, and physical education facilities including a gymnasium, weight and exercise room, soccer and baseball fields, a pool, and a certified adventure ropes course
Treatment that works
Each client at Stonegate has an individualized treatment plan that incorporates group, individual and weekly family therapy, and uses evidence-based treatment models including the Seven Challenges® teen substance use program, the 12-step recovery model and life skills training.
Round-the-clock support from qualified staff
Our expert treatment team includes a board-certified addiction doctor and child psychiatrist, two licensed therapists, case managers responsible for coordinating care and discharge planning, a full-time certified recreation therapist, and residential treatment assistants who monitor the program 24 hours a day to ensure safety and positive growth.
Experiential learning activities
Residents participate in on and off-campus intensive experiential learning opportunities that include yoga, animal-assisted therapy, swimming, adventure ropes courses, and group outings that include baseball games, theater trips, and more.
Academic programming
School leadership and teachers work closely with the youth’s home school district to coordinate regular tutoring and ensure students don’t fall behind during treatment.
