ACGME Fellowship Training Program

Rushford's Middtown Location

Rushford’s Addiction Medicine Fellowship is an ACGME-accredited fellowship that offers physicians a one-year training opportunity in the evaluation and treatment of patients with substance use disorders.

Fellows will gain exposure to all stages of the addiction treatment landscape, including street outreach, detox, residential rehab, transitional housing (sober living) settings, IOP, and long-term recovery care.  Fellows will also develop comfort in managing co-occurring medical and psychiatric conditions and will gain experience in multidisciplinary team-based care.

Our fellows receive extensive education through our didactic curriculum, case conferences, one-on-one instruction, journal club, and other educational experiences.  Additionally, fellows attend national conferences, including the annual American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) conference.

Rushford fellows will gain a wealth of expertise in the addiction medicine field. They will receive a diploma upon completion of the Addiction Medicine Fellowship and be eligible to sit for the American Board of Preventative Medicine Board Examination.
